"Ways of Seeing" was written by John Berger a BBC News Correspondent. He analyses how sight can change peoples thoughts and beliefs and the way in which men and women are represented in different ways. In this article John shows us how men and women are viewed differently through "gazes". In the opening of this article John tells us how women are still very differently looked from that of the man through male gaze.
He argues that the presence of men in the world is all about the power and dominance they have. John argues that because of this it makes women feel self conscious and makes them feel aware of what they are doing all the time. And because of this the self value they have is measured threw the womens eyes, other peoples eyes and the mens eyes.
